I love Washington, D.C., and I'm grateful to serve the neighborhood I call home. Together we've improved city services, pushed for accountability, and built events that bring us closer. Let's work together another two years.
New homes approved in ANC 2G during the 2022–2024 term.
Blagden Alley Community Day brought the whole block together.
At the table for every meeting, every neighbor, every time.
Trash picked up, alleys enforced, graffiti gone. The basics, done right.
From restoring trash service when DPW cut it off by mistake to pushing parking enforcement in our historic alleys, I hold agencies to their promises. Next up: a new trash compactor for Blagden Alley. It’s already in progress.
Traffic calming, safer intersections, and real follow-up with DDOT.
After years of pressure, DDOT is finally moving on safety improvements at 10th and Massachusetts Ave NW, including permanent safety hardening at the intersection. I'll keep pushing on speed bumps, daylighting our alley entrances, and fixing broken sidewalks.
Protecting our historic alleys for the pedestrians and neighbors who live there.
We geofenced Blagden Alley from rideshare drivers and are relocating the 9th St. loading zone. Both make the alley safer and less congested. I'll keep working with neighbors and businesses to protect these historic spaces.
Murals, community days, and events that bring the neighborhood together.
A new mural is coming to Blagden Alley, and I'll keep building on Blagden Alley Community Day, Pride in the alley, DC AlleyFest, and local history tours celebrating our alley-dwelling heritage.
Bringing more neighbors and housing to Naylor Court.
Naylor Court has room to welcome more neighbors. I'll champion thoughtful new housing that fits the character of our historic alleys, so more people can call Shaw and Mount Vernon Square home.
Rodent abatement, clean alleys, and sanitation that keeps up.
Rats don't respect property lines. I'll keep pressing DOH and DPW on aggressive rodent abatement, regular alley cleanups, and sanitation enforcement so our blocks stay clean, healthy, and welcoming.
ANC 2G04 covers Shaw and Mount Vernon Square, including Blagden Alley, Naylor Court, and Shepherd Court.
